Engage in profit-focused management by specializing in growing markets and indispensible businesses, and by concentrating management resources.
This is our management strategy.
In concrete terms, we will rebuild our four existing businesses and promote one new business.
First is an explanation of policies for the four existing businesses.
(1) Transformation into a general SI vendor (Solution Sales Business, IT Service Business)
By enhancing the synergy between IT-related product sales, service-oriented operational expertise and the information systems service business for net businesses we have acquired over many years, Systena will move away from simple merchandise sales and a contract-specialized development model and seek increased profitability by evolving into a general SI*1vendor providing high value-added services.
- *1SI:System Integrator
(2) Fusion of financial business system and network infrastructure building business (Information System Business)
Systena's specialty in the development of financial mission-critical business systems is a business area that serves as a high barrier to entry against newcomers in which we enjoy a strong competitive edge.
With this latest merger, we will seek to expand our fields of business and augment added value by incorporating our new strength in information system services for net businesses.
(3) Evolution from mobile phone development support into a Mobile high-speed data Communications business (Mobile high-speed data Communication Business)
Systena's mobile business began with the development of software for microcomputer-controlled communicators and indicators, achieving significant growth in step with the widespread adoption of mobile phones.
In the future, with the spread of smartphones such as the iPhone and Android-powered*2 phones and the start of high data-rate communications as typified by LTE*3, Systena will expand into areas such as the planning and design of mobile devices that enable high data-rate communication of large volumes, the provision of various software modules as well as the quality verification for various content that uses high data-rate communication, and seek to build a new business model in the field of Mobile high-speed data Communications.
- *2Android:A next-generation software platform for mobile terminals advocated by Google
- *3LTE:"Long Term Evolution" - A new mobile communications standard that achieves high data-rate communication far above that of the current crop of commonplace devices
Next is an explanation of our new business.
(4) New business - from metal to air (Air-Cloud Business Promotion)
We have moved a step closer to a ubiquitous society by advancing from the metal era (cable communications) to the air era (wireless communications). In the ubiquitous society expected to experience significant growth in the future, Systena will develop its original proposal for an "air thin-client service" as a new business taking the shape of a system that will bring drastic improvements to productivity in every industry.
An air thin-client service is a groundbreaking system that eliminates communication lines, servers and PCs acting as terminals by fusing mobile information terminals (smartphones, etc.) with cloud computing systems, and in doing so frees end users from high initial investment costs when building commercial IT systems and allows them to use commercial software at a low cost whenever and wherever they want by utilizing a mobile information terminal.
In the future, mobile communications and the Internet will fuse, and a new information infrastructure and the lifestyle infrastructure to support it will be built for the coming ubiquitous society.
With our specialized technical skills and the out-and-out spirit of a service business, Systena will continue to be an integral part of our customers and society and contribute to the development of the Japanese economy.
