My name is Yoshichika Hemmi, and I am the Representative Director and President of Systena Corporation.
Our Company is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its founding thanks to the support of numerous people.
Looking back at our thirty-year history, we see that it almost perfectly matches the history of the Information Revolution. The company was founded in the foundation stage of enterprise systems development using costly mainframe computers, just when the "Second Industrial Revolution" of microcomputers that began in the United States developed inexpensive personal computers, spreading throughout society in a blink of an eye. When it connected to the later advent of the Internet, it spread information throughout the world instantly.
Throughout this history, we have played an important role as a pioneer in computer and software distribution in Japan, assuming developments from large-scale enterprise systems using supercomputers to software for every kind of industrial and informational devices that use microcomputers, and have overcome the Information Revolution of rapid changes.
Today, our business ranges wide from providing services required on the global business scene to developing systems and mobile devices. Our Product Sales business meets the demands of customers on everything from large-scale server systems to PCs and mobile devices faster and at more reasonable prices than anyone else. Our Office Concierge service assumes complete responsibility of operation work required in the modern office that needs information devices to do business. The Information Systems Development business is skilled in developing e-commerce and portal sites for Internet businesses and enterprise systems primarily for financial businesses, and we also offer assistance in developing cell phones and smartphones.
Mobile high-speed data communications that enable the high-speed exchange of volume data, and the cloud business that manages and operates expansive server systems with greater assurance and safety, are business fields that we consider to be growing. We plan to concentrate our management resources and narrow our business focus.
We want to not only meet customers' demands with IT technology, but also to be needed among customers and society in the true sense of the word, and contribute to developing the Japanese economy. To shape this idea, we are working on philosophical management. The management philosophy is the constitution of a company; its code of conduct and its employee rules are law. From managerial decisions to hiring and training, we act in compliance to our constitution and laws. This is our basic notion to philosophical management.
We believe that our employees must not be salespeople who simply sell or operators who merely carry out simple textbook tasks, or engineers who simply make things. Salespeople must train themselves and the organization to meet customer demands with speed. Our system operators, Help Desk staff, and administrative clerks must develop hospitality and create smiles in their co-workers. Engineers must hone their skills to create products with optimum quality and cost performance and help our customers' businesses to succeed.
We hope that by helping our customers' businesses to prosper and society's IT infrastructures to develop, we can ultimately contribute to boosting the Japanese economy. This approach derives from our philosophical management.
Lastly, I wish to comment as a business owner on the serious damage and casualties caused by the unprecedented disaster that is unfolding before me as I write this script.
I sincerely hope that all who have suffered from this unforgettable tragedy, the East Japan Earthquake, recover their former lives at the earliest possible time, and I deeply believe that my role in this situation is to revitalize the hurt Japanese economy as quickly as possible, and create more jobs through economic growth.
All efforts will go into revitalizing the Japanese economy.
